Description
The electric guitar IBANEZ QX527PB-ABS from the Q or Quest series is a completely new concept for Ibanez. The 'Quest' in this case was not just to adapt an existing instrument to a headless design, but to develop an entirely new guitar from scratch. Ultimately, this series offers a diverse and quite versatile set of features to attract not only modern technical guitarists but also those players who may have never even considered a headless guitar before. Regardless of genre, QX527PB-ABS allows musicians of any level to challenge the full spectrum of their creative possibilities.
The okoume body provides a rich midrange, while the poplar top features an exotic wood texture. It is indeed compact and lightweight, yet guarantees excellent sound with rich wooden tones. The body has several strategically placed contours on both the top and bottom. This intricate yet refined design ensures maximum comfort while playing.
The Parallel Wizard-7 neck has a thickness of 19 mm along its entire length. This guarantees an excellent playing experience for those who prefer a higher position of the instrument. The 5-piece 'baked' maple/bubinga construction also provides great stability and durability. The beautiful 'birdseye' maple fretboard gives this model an exotic look. It is thermally treated for a balanced attack and rich sustain.
The Jescar EVO frets are renowned for their bright tone, great appearance, and unparalleled features such as durability and smooth bending. All frets are angled equally at 8°. Many modern guitarists tend to prefer a much higher playing position to perform more efficient, high-tech, and intricate techniques such as tapping, fingerstyle, and even occasional bass slap riffs. This playing position causes the four fingers to naturally tilt slightly inward. The 8-degree inward tilt of the frets is perfect for this and provides a more natural feel and comfort.
The Q58 pickups are specifically designed for use with IBANEZ QX527PB-ABS. They deliver a clearly defined sound with stunning tonal balance across the range. The basses are powerful but not muddy, while the highs are bright and clear, yet never harsh. As a result, every note of the chord is precise and well-defined. Thanks to the tonal balance and extremely low noise level, these pickups work exceptionally well with both digital and analog effects. The dyna-MIX 10 switching system with the Alter switch provides ten sound variations and can easily switch between humbucker and single modes using a mini-switch. The Power Tap mode gives a realistic single sound despite the configuration of two humbuckers.
The custom string retainer is a solid piece with a very simple design. This means it requires less maintenance, is highly durable, and allows for very easy string changes. Additionally, no special strings are required, so you can continue to use your favorite gauge and brand.
The Mono-Tune bridge offers a wide range of intonation so you can easily tune down. The string height is also easily adjustable, and each saddle generally uses less material, providing a more natural and organic sound.
