Designed from the ground up for comfort, playability, and rich sound, the acoustic guitar TAYLOR GUITARS GT Urban Ash features a new compact body shape with a resonant acoustic sound — GT (Grand Theatre). It has the basic traits of the larger Grand Orchestra shape, but its proportions have been reduced, ensuring a pleasant feel in a portable format. The GT also boasts a neck with unique proportions with a scale length of 24.125", which is slightly longer than the GS Mini and slightly shorter than the Grand Concert.

The neck provides a feeling of ease while playing, thanks to the reduced string tension. The back and sides are made from carefully selected solid urban ash. The solid spruce top fills the tonal response with a projection that defies its compact dimensions, and is reinforced with new asymmetrical C-Class bracing that imparts the sound-enhancing properties of V-Class bracing in a corresponding version for the new body shape. Expect warm, punchy mids highlighted by clear highs, with impressive bass response that owes its remarkable strength to the new attachment scheme. A beautiful fingerboard made of smoky eucalyptus gives a rosewood feel with tonal characteristics of ebony, while the thin matte finish preserves the guitar's resonance. A set of neat details includes pick-shaped inlays made of Italian acrylic, a 3-ring rosette made of koa, and a dark Urban Sienna finish on the back and sides made of ash.
